The Starling is one of my works depicting species that were introduced to New Zealand by the early settlers as a reminder of the home country. Ironically they have become pests in the agricultural world as they feed on soft fruits and grapes.  Some vineyards introduced Karearea ( our native falcon) to prey on the birds.  Originally created to accompany my Sentinel (Karearea).
